Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? Cool. Here are the ones we hear most often.

Pretty much all of them! Including:

  • Inkjet printers (HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, etc.)
  • Laser printers (Samsung, Lexmark, Brother, HP, etc.)
  • All-in-one devices (print, scan, copy, fax)
  • Wireless and network printers
  • Photo printers and specialty printers

Got a weird or less common brand? Reach out anyway — we'll tell you if we can help.

Nope. We're an independent, third-party support company. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, or any other manufacturer.

We help with these brands because we've built up real expertise over time — but we're a separate service. If your printer's under warranty, the manufacturer's help channel might be free. We're here as an alternative if you want faster or friendlier help.

Basically, we help you over the phone, chat, or by viewing your screen online (only if you're okay with it).

Here's how it usually goes:

  1. You reach out and describe what's happening.
  2. We schedule a session or start right away if you're free.
  3. If helpful, you share your screen so we can see exactly what you're seeing.
  4. We walk you through the fix step by step — or show you directly if you let us control your mouse for a sec.
  5. You can stop anytime if you're uncomfortable.

Everything happens with your permission. We only touch what's needed to fix your issue.

Only if you say yes — and only during the session.

What we can see:

  • Your screen (so we can guide you)
  • Mouse and keyboard if you grant control

What we can't do:

  • Snoop around your files without you watching
  • Install anything shady
  • Access your computer after the session ends

We use trusted, secure remote tools. When the session ends, the connection is gone. Your privacy matters to us.

Not much, honestly:

  • Your printer and computer nearby and turned on
  • A decent internet connection (if we're doing screen sharing)
  • A few minutes where you won't be interrupted
  • Any error messages written down (or just have them on screen)

If you're missing something, that's fine — we'll work with you.

It depends on what you need. But we're upfront about it — before any work starts, we'll tell you what to expect. No hidden fees, no surprise charges.

Just ask when you contact us and we'll give you a clear answer.

Sometimes the problem is hardware — like something's broken inside the printer. If that's the case, we'll:

  • Be honest about what we found
  • Explain your options (warranty, local repair, replacement)
  • Give you advice on what to do next — even if that means going somewhere else

We won't charge you for a full session if we figure out early that remote help won't solve it.

We try to be flexible. Printer problems don't always happen 9-to-5, right?

Send us a message or email anytime and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. If it's urgent and outside our usual hours, just mention that — we'll do our best to help.

Only what we need to help you — your name, contact info, and a description of the issue.

We don't sell your info. We don't share it with random third parties. We handle your data responsibly and in line with our Privacy Policy.

After your issue is resolved, we might keep a basic record for quality purposes, but we're not hoarding personal info.

Yep! A lot of printers these days do more than just print. We help with:

  • Setting up scanning to your computer or email
  • Fixing scan quality issues
  • Connecting scanners to multiple devices
  • Troubleshooting scanner errors

If it's part of your all-in-one, we can probably help.

Yes — that's exactly who we're here for.

We explain things in plain language. No jargon, no attitude, no making you feel dumb for asking questions. We go at your pace and check in to make sure you're comfortable.

If something doesn't click, just tell us — we'll try a different way of explaining.

Just ask! Head to our Contact page or send us a message. We're happy to answer whatever's on your mind — about our services, pricing, or a specific printer issue.

No question is too small or too "silly." Seriously. That's what we're here for.
